Celebrate the small things

Vikki at Scribblings of an Aspiring Author has started a meme where every Friday we post what we're celebrating for the week. Thanks Vikki. It's not too late to sign up if you're interested.

1. Every time I look at myself on BTS eMag I smile. My first emagazine interview ever. I also did a guest post about shower sex and the black woman on Kiru Taye's blog,  an interview on Empi Baryeh's blog, and a spotlight on Shelf Full of Books (a wonderful blogger who allowed me on her blog with a simple request - so nice.)

2. I had a good week of workouts: step aerobics, dancing, jogging (mostly walking but jogging sounds better), and jumping rope. I love exercising.

3. I realized this week how much I have changed back into who I used to like being. Happy, forgiving, and full of love. For the love of life, everyone, if you are stuck in a job you hate, change it so you don't become bitter. Burnout is a b&#@h.

4. I don't really have anything else to celebrate, but I love the number four. Let's celebrate four. Yay four!

  1. Funny how Four is also Tobias nickname in Divergent out in the U.S. today. I'm hoping it's coming to Jamaica next week. Yay Four indeed! *laughs* Congrats on the interviews Nana and yes burnouts are horrible. Glad you love exercising I....love reading. Enjoy your weekend.

    1. You have a way of opening my eyes to new information, Sheena-kay. I have never heard of this movie. Now the connection to my number four is making me to look it up. Maybe it will come to Ghana.

  2. Love your list - it just glows with positivity! Even about exercise (groan). I need you to move next door and infect me with that love of exercise.

    1. Thanks Vicki. Ask my friends, I can get a little annoying with the exercise encouragement, but they thank me in the end.

    1. Ironically, exercise gives me more energy. I'm smiling because you're smiling.

  6. I love that you've discovered your old, happy self. I have to admit, since the meds I'm on sidelined my writing, I'm way more relaxed and happier. (Doesn't bode well for a writing career though, does it?) Congrats on the magazine guest post. Yay! :)

    1. Those meds you're taking sound really good. Imagine the happy children's books you could write.

    1. Thanks S.K. I always have to remember how temporary life is. What the hell am I here for if not to LIVE?

  10. I really wish I could do as suggested in No. 3. BTW, I read your take on Kiru's blog and I laughed so hard. Go read my comments, dear gal.
