Talking about asses (no, not people who misbehave)

Today we chat about the human ass aka gluteus maximus (minimus in some people’s cases- he he he) aka buttock, shortened to butt. I myself am curious to know why we look at people’s asses. It’s done in romance novels all the time, so I’m right on the romance course with this post.

When a person is walking away from you, tell me that your eyes don’t drift down to see if that behind is jiggly, firm, gigantic, small, inverted, or perfect. For the love of all that is good, tell me that I’m not the only one who sometimes desires to throw a coin at someone’s huge ass just to see how far away it lands after bouncing off. The bigger the ass, the greater the distance? Or is it the firmer the ass the greater the distance.

With that said, I’ll let you all know that I have a big gluteus, so I am totally justified in writing this post.

I’ll leave you with my favorite butt songs of all time. Ross and Rachel sang it to baby Emma to make her laugh and it was hilarious. Take it away Sir Mix A Lot.

Why is the human ass such a fascinating feature?

  1. I think men look at women's butts because it's part of our curves and we look at men's butts, because it's the only curve they have?? I love an adorable bum on a guy ;)

I think the firmer the butt, the farther the coin goes, no?

Anyway, thanks for the chuckle this morning before the dreaded dentist chair.

  2. Sir Mix-alot said it right. My butt is the perfect size and I'm proud. I must admit while I don't pay a lot of attention to butts there was one incident when I had to. Back in High School when a friend of mine talked about one of the male's teacher's butt like it was awesome I blurted out I had no idea what she was going on about because it was completely flat. He was walking by and when we peeked out to make a final decision we burst out laughing. It really was flat.

  3. I think of admiring butts like admiring fine art. Some butts are just meant to be looked at ;)

  5. LOL fun post.....I must admit there are times when my mouth has been left hanging by the size of some butts. Especially those that resemble table tops, blessed they are but how ladies cope with the extra zing is another matter. Only thing I find a little off putting is a man with a big arse. Dont get it sigh :)

    1. Now you have me laughing out loud. Extra zing- that's funny. Yes a man with a big ass is a little uncomfortable to look at. Thanks for your awesome comment Ms. Countessa.
