D is for Ducati (vroom vroom)

For me there are only two types of motorcycles the Ducati and the Harley. Not because I think they are superior brands, but because those are the only two I know the names of.

The first time I heard about this motorcycle was in a romance novel. Please don’t ask which one because all I remember about the book is that the hot guy rode a hot bike. What is it about a motorcycle that makes a guy seem that much hotter?  I’m guessing it’s the danger, speed and excitement of riding the bike, even with a helmet on there is an increased risk of injury. This should probably be a turnoff, but it’s not, quite the opposite actually.

I love motorcycles, not enough to buy one, but enough to hop on anytime I’m offered a ride. I once thought I’d marry a man who rode a motorcycle and wore a leather jacket. The dream lives on.

Ever date a guy (or female) just because they rode a motorcycle?

  1. I once rode backseat on a friend's bike (I have no idea what kind of bike it was). It was huge!! And mighty loud. It was also totally awesome!

  2. Hell, yeah! A long time ago in my fun-filled youth, I dated a hot guy with a hot bike. The feel of that engine beneath you and the wind whipping past you is awesome. :)

  3. My only bike ride was on my dad's bike one evening when his car decided to go on strike and we were scheduled (and all dressed up) to go see 'Roots' on the big screen. So my Dad had to transport his entire family in bits on the bike. It was great. But in my adulthood, unless I am in control I will not be riding any motor bikes no matter how sexy it looks, thank you very much.

    1. That is such a cute story. If you had been in the North you would have all probably loaded on at one time.

  4. My husband used to have a motorcycle a long time ago and he's always missed it. Last year when he was 51 he bought an old Suzuki 800 from a guy at work. It was older and needed work but he worked on it in the garage over the winter. I went on a couple rides with him through the woods. It was fun.

  5. Who doesn't love a hot guy riding a bike. Not many of them around here, I mean hot guys! I wasn't so thrilled when my son planned on purchasing one though! Nana, my blog features a form of chocolate today!!

  6. Not for me, Nana. I think the adrenaline pumping in the bikers make them look more menacing and well sexy. But certainly not moi

    1. We all must do what makes us happy Celestine. It sounds like riding a motorcycle would give you more gray hair than it would give you joy.
