V is for Victoria Falls #atozchallenge

The beautiful Victoria Falls are one of the seven natural wonders of the world consisting of a mile long curtain of falling water.  It lies on the border of The Democratic Republic of Congo (formerly Zaire) and Zimbabwe.

It's on my ever growing bucket list to visit this fabulous sight.

This is a gigantic blog hop so click here to see what other bloggers are discussing for this letter. Have fun.

  7. I'd like to see them someday too... mostly to photograph them. When I went to Niagra Falls I was somewhat disappointed, but I doubt Victoria would have the same effect.

    1. I loved Niagra Falls. I preferred the Canadian side over the US.

    1. Pics are always good. You could have someone splash water on you as you gaze into them, imagining you are there.

  16. I saw Victoria Falls from the Zambia and Zimbabwe sides and it is huge and so powerful. My favorite quote about Victoria Falls came from our guide in Zimbabwe who was quoting David Livingstone: "scenes so lovely must have been gazed upon by angels in their flight ” Get there soon if you can Nana-Victoria Falls is truly magnificent.

    1. I love a water fall. One of the highest in West Africa sits in my little country, and I have yet to go see it. Didnt' stop me from putting it into one of my books, though.
