The beautiful Victoria Falls are one of the seven natural wonders of the world consisting of a mile long curtain of falling water. It lies on the border of The Democratic Republic of Congo (formerly Zaire) and Zimbabwe.
It's on my ever growing bucket list to visit this fabulous sight.

Wow so pretty. I love waterfalls...of course this one is a mile? Amazing. One of the wonders indeed ;)
ReplyDeleteI could stare at a waterfall all day.
DeleteA mile long?! Whoa! Victoria Falls looks so pretty...
ReplyDeleteI couldn't believe it either.
DeleteI would love to see Victoria Falls some day, but I don't think I ever will as Zimbabwe is not on my bucket list.
ReplyDeleteHow about a trip to SA and then a quick hopover to Zimbabwe?
DeleteSpectacular!!
ReplyDeleteIt is gorgeous.
DeleteWow! That is definitely beautiful. I don't think I'll be visiting Zimbabwe, though, so I'll just enjoy your pictures!
ReplyDeleteEvery once in a while the pictures are better than the real thing.
DeleteIt looks so pretty. I'll add it on my bucket list too.
ReplyDeleteI can't wait.
DeleteGorgeous! I shall hereby dub it the land of perpetual rainbows. (Except when the sun isn't out.) =)

I'm sure the people will be very happy about your lovely name change.
DeleteI'd like to see them someday too... mostly to photograph them. When I went to Niagra Falls I was somewhat disappointed, but I doubt Victoria would have the same effect.
ReplyDeleteI loved Niagra Falls. I preferred the Canadian side over the US.
DeleteAmazing! I'd love to see it someday but I think the chances of that are pretty slim so I'll just enjoy your pics. =) Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeletePics are always good. You could have someone splash water on you as you gaze into them, imagining you are there.
DeleteWe do have some lovely waterfalls here too!
ReplyDeleteYes we do. I've never been to Wli Falls (which could have been my W word), but I've heard it's pretty.
DeleteWow! Now it's on my list too. Amazing.
ReplyDeleteI wonder where we'll stand to look at it. Or perhaps we'll take a helicopter tour.
DeleteI've always wanted to go there. My parents went a few years ago and I was insanely jealous.
ReplyDeleteThat's cool that they went. I'm sure their pictures are gorgeous.
DeleteSo beautiful! I want to see them too. I've watched travelogues of people who ventured there.
ReplyDeleteThey are wonderful.
DeleteWow! I'm not sure what else to say besides that. They're stunning! Now I want to see them, too!
ReplyDeleteHope you’re having fun with the A to Z challenge,
Jocelyn
Wow is appropriate.
Deletethe rainbow scene is so stunning. Now it's in my bucket list :)
ReplyDeleteSo many people put it on their list. I think we should have a bucket list convention there.
DeleteSuch a beautiful sight to behold. I wonder how wide it is.

Good question.
DeleteI saw Victoria Falls from the Zambia and Zimbabwe sides and it is huge and so powerful. My favorite quote about Victoria Falls came from our guide in Zimbabwe who was quoting David Livingstone: "scenes so lovely must have been gazed upon by angels in their flight ” Get there soon if you can Nana-Victoria Falls is truly magnificent.
ReplyDeleteI like that quote. I'm even amazed that I know who David Livingstone is from my history books.
DeleteI've never seen a waterfall before. This is beautiful.
ReplyDeleteEver? Not even a little one?
DeleteNo, not yet.
DeleteVisiting from A/Z; beautiful pictures of Victoria Falls; loved the one with the rainbow in it! I hope you do get to see it sometime! I'd love to see it in person, but I'm thinking I probably won't get there, but absolutely gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteWe're in the home stretch for the challenge being completed; hope you enjoyed participating in it.
betty
I have enjoyed the A to Z challenge, but I'm ready for it to be over.
DeleteOh that's amazing! What a sight that would be in person! I've only seen small falls and even those are amazing to see :)
ReplyDeleteHappy A to Z-ing!

herding cats & burning soup.
I love a water fall. One of the highest in West Africa sits in my little country, and I have yet to go see it. Didnt' stop me from putting it into one of my books, though.
