H is for Happy - #atozchallenge

One if the many things I noticed when I first came to Ghana was how happy the people are. No we are not rich, we don’t have continuous electricity, yes we have bouts of violence, yes our educational system could be better, and no we are not perfect by any definition of the word. But we are happy, not because of the circumstances we find ourselves in, but because of who we are.

It’s the truth as I see it.
Since I can't show you all of the people of Ghana, here are a couple of personal pictures.
She can brighten anyone's day.

    Great pictures!
And kids are so spontaneous, they can teach us adults a thing or two about happiness...

  6. Mm. There are definitely some cultures that lend to happiness more than others. I think in America we get too bogged down by keeping up or getting ahead to pay attention to the wonderful day to day happenings.

  8. Excellent to share this. So many times folks (me) get wrapped up in confusing comfort and happy. Two emotions that are personal/subjective to the extreme. Lovely pictures to show us Happy!

    1. Sometimes having comfort makes a person more happy. But the two don't always go hand in hand. Thanks for the point, Mardra.

  9. Nigeria has a similar story. We're happy people despite the less than perfect living standard. Kids are a bundle of unadulterated joy. Nice pix, Nana.

  13. Wonderful. Nothing better than being happy. My dad lives in a building like that, where all the people always seem happy. I can't imagine a whole happy country.
