To be honest, I didn't know much about these islands before I started A To Z. The name sounds so lovely in my ears and the pictures make me want to get on a plane ASAP.
Officially known as the Republic of Seychelles, it is an archipelago in the Indian Ocean, not far from Madagascar (if that means anything to you). For those living in snow laden countries, the pictures might be a tad torturous. Sorry.

Lol. Madagascar was a good movie.
DeleteMy neighbors are on Mauritus right now, that is near the Seychelles too, Will that be your M? (I am guessing not with so many M countries near your Ghana.
ReplyDeleteI'm not telling, Rhonda. You'll have to come back to find out. Could be also be Morocco, Madagascar, Mauritania, Mali, Malawi, Mayotte, Melilla, Mozambique. So many to choose from. But you're right, they are far away from Ghana.
DeleteOh how lovely! Adding them to my dream destination list!
ReplyDeleteWouldn't it be nice to go for your honeymoon, Lara?
DeleteBeautiful. I thought they were a larger chain.

At least you'd heard of them before, Moonie. I was in the dark.
DeleteYou know, King Prempeh and Queen Yaa Asantewaa of Ashanti were exiled to the Seychelles in 1900-1901 following the Yaa Asantewaa war. They lived there for several years together with about 40 from the royal house and slaves.
ReplyDeleteI should have known that, Celestine. Thanks for the Ghana history lesson.
DeleteOh look, colors! :D Haven't seen green in months... :D
