I is Islands (Seychelles) #atozchallenge

To be honest, I didn't know much about these islands before I started A To Z. The name sounds so lovely in my ears and the pictures make me want to get on a plane ASAP.

Officially known as the Republic of Seychelles, it is an archipelago in the Indian Ocean, not far from Madagascar (if that means anything to you). For those living in snow laden countries, the pictures might be a tad torturous. Sorry.

All pictures were taken from Bing.com

    1. I'm not telling, Rhonda. You'll have to come back to find out. Could be also be Morocco, Madagascar, Mauritania, Mali, Malawi, Mayotte, Melilla, Mozambique. So many to choose from. But you're right, they are far away from Ghana.

  5. You know, King Prempeh and Queen Yaa Asantewaa of Ashanti were exiled to the Seychelles in 1900-1901 following the Yaa Asantewaa war. They lived there for several years together with about 40 from the royal house and slaves.
