Nurses are fantastic (for the most part)

            It takes courage, intelligence, compassion, and strength to be a nurse. I’m not just saying this just because I’m a nurse, but because It’s true. Nurses are great. We are every profession rolled into one. Who else is a janitor, a hair dresser, babysitter, accountant, computer specialist, counselor, security, and the list goes on and on. We do it all for the sake of the patients and their family.

            I wouldn’t say that it takes a special person to be a nurse, but it does take someone with a strong need to do good things for people to help in their healing, even when they won’t appreciate it, because sometimes a nurse’s actions aren’t appreciated, but we do them anyway because it’s in the best interest of the patient. In the end we all must remember that nursing is a job, but good nurses find that it is also a calling.
