Spotlight and Give Away: A Lesson On Love by Sharon C. Cooper

The Blurb
Some lessons are harder to learn than others.

Jerry Jenkins is a player. He loves women. Curvy women. Soft women. He's unapologetically drawn to full-figured women. With all the beauties in the world, he has no intention of settling down with just one. Not until Rayne Ellison moves in next door. But the curvaceous beauty doesn’t fall for his charm. Still, she's the only woman who has him willing to shred his bachelor’s card.

If there’s one lesson single mom Rayne learned over the years, it’s to avoid players. Been there, done that. Barely survived. No way will she fall prey to another ladies’ man. She has one focus—raising her daughter, but there’s something so magnetic about Jerry. Rayne agrees to be friends, but nothing more. At least that’s what she tells herself.

When tragedy strikes, Rayne is ready to give up, but it’s Jerry who keeps her afloat. He breaks down her defenses and, in the process, gives her a lesson on love.

Review: A Passionate Kiss (The Bennett Triplets) by Sharon C. Cooper #AARomance

The Blurb
Retired Marine, Mason Bennett, has two goals: adjust to civilian life and keep drama out of it. His focus is on his role as part-owner, along with his siblings, of Atlanta’s hottest nightclub. However, his attention shifts when the woman he has loved like a sister reenters his life and thoughts of a passionate kiss they shared hijacks his mind. Their connection is explosive. Feelings he’s tried to deny come to the forefront, and he’s tempted to do something he thought he would never do—cross that line from friends to lovers.

TV news anchor, London Alexander, is back home in Atlanta and ready to start a new chapter in her life. This time she hopes her future includes Mason, the man she has loved forever. She’s ready to step over the forbidden line that he’s drawn in their relationship.

Will taking a chance on love lead to a happily-ever-after? Or will risking their friendship leave them both with broken hearts?

My Review
This book made me clutch my chest and sigh with pleasure. It had two of my favorite themes – friends to lovers and ex-military turned security. There was a point here when I thought London was taking her and Mason’s friendship one way (which shouldn’t have surprised me, but it did), Mason swerved and took them down a totally different, better path.

The passion between London and Mason was so intense that I kept wondering why it took him so long to figure out that London was in love with him. They were perfect for each other.

I give this book five out of five dress shaped chocolate bars.

I purchased my copy from Amazon.
