Laura
Plus Books has put together a fantastic Valentine’s blog hop.
I’ve
never been a fan of Valentine’s Day. It’s my bah humbug day. That’s until I came to Ghana and learned that
it’s Chocolate Day here. Woo hoo. Bring on February 14th. The day
acquired a whole new meaning since I have an ongoing romance with chocolate. Unfortunately
the chocolate isn’t calorie free, but a whole day dedicated to my favorite
treat can’t be bad.
I’ll
let you in on a little secret which may get me into trouble. Ghanaians, men in
particular, aren’t generally romantic. Romance tends to be equated to sex, so to
distract us from an overabundance of sexual merrymaking, the powers that be
came up with Chocolate Day. I don’t mind one bit.
Now
for my prize.
Since
I’m talking about Valentine’s Day in Africa, one commenter will receive their choice of one of
the following books through Smashwords or Amazon. My book has nothing to do with Valentine's day, but everything to do with romance.
Happy
Valentines
Chocolate Day everyone and
remember to check out the rest of the blogs.
Magazine columnist Chantelle Sah doesn’t
celebrate Valentine’s Day—not since her fiancĂ©’s betrayal three years ago.
After botching her first assignment as a feature writer, she’s more than
willing to put in a hard day’s work this Valentine’s Day; even if it means
going on a date with gorgeous construction Tycoon, Lord McKenzie, and opening
herself to an onslaught of all things love.
When Lord—his given name, not a title—sets his sights on Chantelle, it isn’t just work he has on his mind. But even he couldn’t have predicted the magnetic attraction between them when they meet, nor the evening ending with more than an interview. Now he has to convince Chantelle that their one-night stand wasn’t a mistake. Can he win her love without revealing a secret from their night of passion, which could prove fatal for both their hearts?

Jasmine Gibson has her world turned
upside down when she meets gorgeous Sean Taylor. He’s the first man she’s been
attracted to since her fiancé dumped her two years ago. But when the disturbing
daydreams start, Jasmine begins to fear that her actions in a past life may
have finally caught up with her.
Sean finds it impossible to stay away
from Jasmine even though he can’t shake the inexplicable feeling of betrayal,
simmering deep inside him every time he sees her.
To complicate things, someone is out to
hurt Jasmine and every time she and Sean are together, the police have to be
called. Even if Jasmine can make Sean trust her, the two of them may not stay
alive long enough to enjoy their love this time around.
Who doesn't love chocolate?! Romancing Chocolate, sounds like a title to a sizzling book!
ReplyDeleteLol, Cathy. I may have to write a book with that title. Still giggling.
DeleteI am possibly the only woman who doesn't freak out in excitement for chocolate. I have only one type that tickles me, it contains nuts. I can eat one box for three months!!!
ReplyDeleteOne box for three months instead of three minutes, hmmm. Now I'm wondering what type of chocolate it is.
DeleteHappy Chocolate Day, Nana! Enjoy - I know I would :)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Debbie. Enjoy some red roses for me.
DeleteYou're spot on about Ghanaian men! Are you sure you put up the right blurb of the right book up there? Seems like the cover is Empi's MRB while the blurb is about a romance series set in Nigeria.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much, Celestine. I did make an oops. Thanks to you it's corrected. I'm so glad you read the book and could correct me.
DeleteYum, chocolate day. ;) Thank you for the chance to win. Both books sound lovely.

ReplyDeleteI like the way you think, Caffe.
DeleteYou had me at "chocolate." Yum.
ReplyDeleteLol, Julia.
DeleteLove through time sounds like my kind of book. The thought of Chocolate, what can I say, except I would love to in this giveaway. I can see myself reading this book and eating Chocolate.
