Celebrate the Small Things - A new year

Vikki at Scribblings of an Aspiring Author has started a meme where every Friday we post what we are celebrating for the week. Thanks Vikki. It's not too late to sign up if you're interested.

Happy New Year everyone!

This was a fantastic week.

  • I got a lot of work done and maintained my confidence throughout.
  • Finished my first round edits for my second novel with Black Opal Books. I call it my jailbird book, but more on that later.
  • I saw The Hobbit and wrote a post on it that didn't get the readership it deserves (in my humble opinion), so I'm linking you to it here.
  • Optimism abounds about the great things which will happen this year.
  • Not so happy about the weight gain, but I'm back on my exercise regime which should take care of that, just as long as I cut back on the chocolate (sigh)

  2. I see we're in the same boat as far as the weight gain goes. It'll be a rough couple of weeks, months for me. So glad you had a good week, and Yay for finishing your first round of edits with BOB.

    1. Thanks, Cathy. Those edits were rough. The weight loss may be a little rougher, but we can do it.

  7. I agree with you on your blog about the Hobbit. I enjoyed reading it. Not sure what this love/hate relationship we have with chocolate. It seems to be on many celebrations and resolution lists. Awesome Celebrations!

    1. No hate is involved with my relationship with chocolate, only in the calories contained within it.
