Letter to my readers

My Dear Readers,

I love you. I’m not just saying that either. I really, really, really love you. Thank you very much for supporting my work. For buying and reading my books. No I am not tearing up. I’m a badass like my heroines, remember?

Keep on reading and I promise to keep on writing bigger and better stories.

Thank you readers. This Gif is for you!

Love,
Nana

Celebrate the small things

Vikki at Scribblings of an Aspiring Author has started a meme where every Friday we post what we're celebrating for the week. Thanks Vikki. It's not too late to sign up if you're interested.

1. Every time I look at myself on BTS eMag I smile. My first emagazine interview ever. I also did a guest post about shower sex and the black woman on Kiru Taye's blog,  an interview on Empi Baryeh's blog, and a spotlight on Shelf Full of Books (a wonderful blogger who allowed me on her blog with a simple request - so nice.)

2. I had a good week of workouts: step aerobics, dancing, jogging (mostly walking but jogging sounds better), and jumping rope. I love exercising.

3. I realized this week how much I have changed back into who I used to like being. Happy, forgiving, and full of love. For the love of life, everyone, if you are stuck in a job you hate, change it so you don't become bitter. Burnout is a b&#@h.

4. I don't really have anything else to celebrate, but I love the number four. Let's celebrate four. Yay four!

Love trumps fear- The last entry for 2012

In 2012 I took a risk and started a blog and I am so glad I did. Black Opal Books decided to publish my book, Love Through Time which will be out in 2013, which is awesome. This may sound like something minor, but this semester I finished teaching Medical Nursing in one semester- which is an incredible feat and I’m still patting myself on the back. And a whole lot more cool stuff happened in the great year of 2012.
For 2013 I want to encourage everyone to do what they really desire in life. Take a risk. Believe in yourself and you will succeed. Love should supersede fear in 2013. Remember that you are a magnificent human being and the sky is the limit for anything you want to achieve. Think it, speak it and then do it.
Thanks to everyone who read my blog during this past year. Double thanks to everyone who left a comment. I look forward to interacting with a whole lot more people in 2013.
Next year will rock – guaranteed!

Does love conquer all?

Well…
As an avid romance reader I had always thought that love surely conquers all. Where there is love everything will work out. That was until I fell in love, became engaged and then was unceremoniously dumped. For two years my new term for any human male (outside of my family) was ‘asshole’ or ‘bastard’. At the time I thought love didn't conquer anything. I was actual of the belief that love was weak, something used by people as an excuse to cause pain.
Years after this broken relationship, I have come to realize that love does conquer all, just not in the way we expect it to. My life has turned out wonderfully, despite losing who I thought at the time was the love of my life, I have found other loves (not just romantic) which have shown me the enduring nature of love. Everything always works out just the way it should. That is the master plan (as I rub my hands together and laugh wickedly).  The master plan is love, so it will always conquer everything (but that's just one girl's opinion).

Tell me what you think. Does love conquer all?
