My Review

I loved (repeat until the word sounds weird) this book from beginning to end. Catching up with all of my favorite characters while going on an adventure was amazing. Aidan and Branwen were wonderful together, but I could see it coming from the previous book. Branwen is a fantastic character, not as great as Annwyl – who is one of my all time favorites in all of female heroine history- but she holds her own.

This book should not be the first you start in the series because you will get lost. Once you start from the first book, you’ll eventually end up here because the stories are just too good to let go of. This book, like the others, was dynamic and engaging. It ruined me for other books for a few days because it was so dag on good.

Review: Feel the Burn by G.A. Aiken

My Review

I now have a new number two favorite for this series. Dragon Actually is still number one. I’ve been in love with Gaius since I knew him to be a mean bastard when Annwyl (who is still my ultimate favorite heroine) first met him and offered her services. Kachka is too amazing for words. Put Gaius and Kachka together and there’s sarcasm galore. Add the other characters and I laughed so hard I had to put the book down a couple of times.

The best part about the series is that I know there’s more to come.

Review: Dragon on Top by G.A. Aiken #Fantasy

My Review

Once again I’m in love with this backstory Dragon Kin Series. I love reading about how the older dragons got together. Bram and Ghleanna’s story was especially good because revealed how such a benign dragon ended up with a dragonwarrior and it introduced me to the the ocean dragons.

Other than it being funny, romantic, spicy, and all around fantastic, I don’t have much to say about this novella. So good.

Review: Light My Fire by G. A. Aiken #fantasyromance

The trouble with humans is that they're far too sensitive. Forget you put a woman in the local jail for a few months - and she takes it so personally! And yet she is the one trying to assassinate the queen. And now I'm trapped with Elina Shestakova of the Black Bear Riders of the Midnight...gods! That endless name!

But what am I to do? I am Celyn the Charming with direct orders from my queen to protect this unforgiving female.

Even more shocking, this unforgiving female is completely unimpressed by me. How is that even possible? But I know what I want and, for the moment, I want her. And I'm sure that she, like all females, will learn to adore me. How could she not when I am just so damn charming?

My Review

I haven't laughed so hard at a Dragon Series story since Gwenvael and Dagmar’s book (I’m smiling just thinking about it).

I absolutely love Ms. Aiken’s inclusive writing in regards to race and culture with both humans and dragons. There is something for everyone to relate to in her books.

Elina was amazing, although she doesn’t outrank Annwyl. Elina's honest and charismatic nature was pure entertainment. So funny. I’ve liked Celyn from the beginning, when he first got involved with Izzy. How could I not? He comes from a family of bad ass dragons who were born to be admired.

Review: A tale of Two Dragons by G.A. Aiken

My Review

I’m steamrolling my way through this series and enjoying every moment of it. I love Ms. Aikens writing style. It reminds me of a soap opera where everyone is connected, but has their own amazing story line.

This was the first novel where one of the Royals wasn’t the hero or heroine. I really liked Rhona, a straight to the point, duty bound dragon filled with love and courage. I found Vigholf to be sweet with his protective ways of Rhona. It was interesting that his was a long standing love, not something that came upon him suddenly.

Review: Last Dragon Standing by G.A. Aiken

My Review

In this book we learn that Keita is more than the slut we all presume her to be. As I read books 1-3 and noticed Keita’s behavior, I presumed (and feared) Ms. Aikens would get really raunchy with this story. I was wrong. The romance was sweet in many ways. Even the sex scenes were tame compared to the other stories. I enjoyed that Ms. Aikens thwarted me, once again with her brilliant writing.

I liked Ragnar from book 3. He’s perfect for Keita. He’s as logical a thinker as she is (although she throws more emotion into her schemes).

As always I loved how I got to catch up with the other characters. Annwyl is still the most awesome heroine!

My review

I still proclaim that G.A. Aiken is writing genius.

For me Gwenvael is the most entertaining dragon in the whole series. As I read through the first two books, I wondered just who would snag the charismatic, funny, dragon/whore. Dagmar was perfect. She’s an intellectual who fears nothing because reason and logic are her greatest allies.

The story was amazing, filled with my favorites: action, romance, and situations that made me laugh. I’m still smiling remembering some of the lines.

Ms. Aiken is a heartless author. She made me go through a traumatic event during the book that made me say “No! Say it isn’t so!” and almost skip ahead in the book to see if it was true. I’m shaking my head thinking about it.

My Review

This story was amazing. G.A Aiken is a fabulous writer. I don’t think I have ever laughed so hard while reading a book. Arrogant Briec was brought low by Chatty Talaith. And the surprise Ms. Aiken added to the story just blew me away. I had no idea it was coming, but I loved it.

I found the way Ms. Aiken brought in the other characters and interwove them into the story to be intriguing. Mixing the familiar with the new.  If you're searching for a tame book, then About a Dragon is not for you. It's not a ‘sweet’ book by any stretch of the imagination. If you want a story that will keep you up at night reading, then get this book. You’ll end up reading the whole series, like I’m in the process of doing. (And wanting a dragon of your very own.)

My Review

This was a well-rounded book. Romance, paranormal action, and the funniest dialogue I’ve read in a long time. Imagine my surprise when the story of Annwyl and Fearghus ended and that of Fearghus’ parents began. Yipee!

Aiken engulfs the reader in the dragon’s world. Annwyl will now forever remain one of my favorite characters. She was such a wonderful, dynamic, take no crap from anyone kind of woman, who also had a vulnerable soft side.

Feargus was an alpha to the core. Who better to be with such a strong woman? No other would have been able to be with her, she would have killed them.

I’m so glad that there are more books in the series that are already written. I don’t have to wait.
