For me this country will always be represented by the gorgeous Tanzanite stone. I used to drool over the tanzanite jewelry QVC presented. I even bought a tanzanite ring myself, but gave it away as a gift. One day I'll buy another one. It would be perfect if i could go to Tanzania and buy it there.
Not much to say, this is an image moment. Shades of purple and blue. Pics from Jewelry Wholesale .

ReplyDeleteThey are gorgeous gems.
DeleteOooh, pretty! I had no idea tanzanite came in so many different shades. I am now coveting the stones in the very first picture.
ReplyDeleteHope you’re having fun with the A to Z challenge,

I like the deeper hues of purple, too.
DeleteI bought my daughter a tanzanite ring. It's beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI wish she could take a picture of it. I don't need to own it to love it.
DeleteOpals have been a favorite gem of mine but now that I see how beautiful tanzanite is, I think they are tied for first place :)
ReplyDeleteOpals are pretty and so are tanzanites, but my first love is the all powerful Sapphire.
DeleteI'd never heard of tanzanite. It's gorgeous! All the pics were great! Thanks for the info. :)
ReplyDeleteThe stones match your avatar, Lexa.
DeletePretty!

They are.
DeleteThat's a beautiful color. Love purples. My hair is currently purple. I can tell from your site that you love it too. :)
ReplyDeleteYou are very observant. It's my favorite color. I'm sure I'd love your dynamic purple hair.
DeleteBeautiful stones. In my head I always put Tanzania together with Safari. Now I have two reasons to visit.
ReplyDeleteThat's interesting, I never put it with Safari.
DeleteThe jewellery looks beautiful! My cousin has a shirt with Tanzania on it.
ReplyDeleteThat's cool about your cousin's shirt.
DeleteWhat a beautiful stone!

I think it's calming.
DeleteI am so ignorant about gems and where they are from. The Tanzanite looks gorgeous especially those with the hint of blue. Thanks for sharing, Nana!
ReplyDeleteI love sharing all things purple and pretty, Sophia.
DeleteSO pretty!!! It would be great if you did make to Tanzania one day and buy it there! :)
ReplyDeleteI'd love to do that.
DeleteTanzanian is one of my favorite stones, though I love the deep blues rather than the purples. I have a couple of unmounted stones I want to make into ear rings. My other blue stones I love are Sapphires and blue diamonds. :)

Sapphires are my favorite stone but I like my diamonds white.
DeleteThose are lovely, especially the dark blue ones. I think it would be awesome to go to Tanzania to buy a special treat for yourself. You'd have the trip and a perfect souvenir :)
ReplyDeleteIt would be so cool.
DeleteBeautiful post, Nana!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Celestine.
DeleteThe recipient of your give away ring was lucky indeed. I bet there is a good story in that decision. Hope this is the year you buy another one of these fabulous stones.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Stepheny. I would love to get another one some day soon.
DeleteTruly pretty jewelry. I'll love to own one someday too, Nana.
ReplyDeleteWhen I go to Tanzania, I'll pick you up one, Stella.
DeleteIt looks so pretty in those pictures.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure they are even lovelier in real life.
DeleteI hope you will get to reward yourself with some beautiful Tanzanite stone soon! :)
ReplyDeleteMe too, Lila.
DeleteBeautiful gem. I don't think I have any Tanzanite.
ReplyDeleteYou would definitely know if you did. They are a unique gem.
DeleteBeautiful!

Me, too. They are such pretty simple stone.
DeleteI want a set of earrings and a ring. Very lovely stones and so varied.
ReplyDeleteI'd choos the same things. Who am I kidding? I'd add a bracelet, too.
