L is for Lesotho #atozchallenge

Bet you anticipated that I’d talk about Libya or Liberia, huh?  I like to keep people on their toes.

This small country about the size of Maryland is officially called the Kingdom of Lesotho and is landlocked by South Africa. Interesting.

What a beautiful landscape this country has.

    1. It's an independent country. I wonder if they need a visa to go to SA.

  7. Landlocked by a couple of different countries I can see, but surrounded by another country is very strange! I love the images you have included. So beautiful.

    1. I thought so too, Donna. I wonder how it happened. I'd have to go a little deeper into the history to find out.

  8. Wow, that's so weird to think of one country completely surrounded by another country. Definitely beautiful pictures!

Hope you’re having fun with the A to Z challenge,

    1. It's fascinating. It would be horrible if SA decided to cut them off from the rest of the world. Nowhere to turn to.
