My first book review – Chancing Faith by Empi Baryeh

Chancing Faith by Empi Baryeh is a well written, wonderfully touching romance novel. It was both sweet and deliciously passionate (spicy). I really got into Thane and Naaki’s relationship and was intrigued by how it developed. I didn’t want the book to end, but desperately wanted to see how it ended. My curiosity was simmering about if he was going to stay in Ghana or if she was going to leave the country with him (being a romance book we all know they end up together, it’s the formula, so I’m not revealing any cliffhangers here). I’m glad it ended the way it did, making me smile.
The portrayal of the difference in their race was very neutral, yet I never forgot that they were different.   The story was about the romance of a man and a woman who just happened to be of different colors and cultures. Love, as they say, knows no color and Empi depicted that concept very well.
I hate to sound cliché, but the truth is the truth, Chancing Faith was an utter delight to read.
Thanks for a book that made me say ‘Ahhh’.
                 Ayekoo!!!!! Great job.
