Labor of Love Blog Hop - Enter to win a Kindle, ebooks, and GCs #LOLHop #Giveaway

Happily ever afters only come after heart-breaking work, and this Labor Day weekend, we are celebrating our written labors of love by giving our readers a chance to win a brand-spankin' new Kindle with our personal bests.

That's right, you could win all of our books! Aren't you excited? We are!

In Ghana (and the UK) the blog hop would be called Labour of Love.

Destiny Mine is a labor of love in more than one way. The heroine, Esi, is a midwife who excels at both delivering babies and setting people up (at least she had luck with her cousin in Midwife to Destiny). One job I could never do is be a midwife, and yet I have the utmost respect for them. I wanted to relay this admiration to the world. Plus it made for a hot romance when I threw a womanizing doctor into the mix.

I’m happy to announce that Decadent Publishing will be publishing book three in the Destiny series, Entwined Destiny (Yay).

All of my labors of love are on sale for $1.99 for a limited time at Amazon and All Romance eBooks.

Extraordinary midwife, Esi Darfour, is looking to get married.  She’s a master matchmaker but has no luck when it comes to her love life and has yet to find a man worthy of her. Until she has to deal with gorgeous Dr. Adam Quarshie outside of work.

Adam is a player who refuses to get married—ever. His interest lies more in getting her into bed than in having any kind of committed relationship. Esi’s matchmaker instincts warn her to run in the other direction as quickly as possible, but her heart insists she stay…get closer…and see if what they feel for each other can change his mind.

Ghanaian nurse Aurora ‘Ora’ Aikins never expected to find the love of her life while on vacation in South Africa. Engaged to another and believing that love has no place in her life, she returns to Ghana, and puts duty and honor first.

Three years later, Dr. Jason Lartey still can’t get Ora out of his mind or his heart. After learning she never married, he takes a risk and moves to Ghana hoping to rekindle what they started. His sudden appearance in Ora’s Emergency Department sends sparks flying all over again.

They’re in the same country, working in the same hospital, and together but distance creeps between them. Can they make their destined love one for the ages?

The last thing she expects is to fall in love with a prison guard…

Hotshot Secret Service Agent, Sarita Cerez is thrown into a medium security prison—for work. Her job is to protect the daughter of the president of South Korea. She never envisioned making friends with illegal immigrants or falling head over heels for one of the guards. Now the clandestine activity, which is integral to protecting her charge, may destroy her only chance at love.

He's never fraternized with the inmates—until he met her…

Matthew Carter always plays by the rules, which includes maintaining a strictly professional relationship with the inmates in his charge. But when Sarita saunters onto the unit, all bets are off. Her status as a deportee with a permanent ticket to Columbia means they can never be together, but try as he might, this doesn’t stop him from risking his career for her.

He's a man who values honesty above all else, and she lies for a living. Can two people from such different worlds find any common ground?

  1. I know I could never be a midwife. I thought I wanted to be a nurse midwife but I am a nursing school drop out. Every time I see my old clinical instructor I try to leave before she sees me. That was one formidable woman! Lol.

    1. I never knew that about you. That's so cool. At least you learned what you weren't meant to do in life. Stand proud when you see your old clinical instructor. We nursing tutors are tough, but we love all of our students.

    1. Thanks, Debbie. I have a feeling Natalia could kick Adam's behind, but it would be a draw with Esi. I wonder.

  7. Oh, congrats on book 3! How exciting! Also, how cool that you have a midwife as a heroine for one of your books. Characters like that don't usually get to lead stories, at least from what I've read...

    1. Thanks, Heather. I thought the same thing and I wanted something different in a heroine. Plus I wanted to show off the profession. Go Midwives!

  8. Midwife is a noble procession but you won't find one in Canadian hospitals. Not sure when they decided they are not needed or that they don't have enough qualifications to do their job. Health care is heavily regulated here. If you want a midwife to lead you through the pregnancy and labor you'd have to find one and pay out of pocket. Not many do it because they are caution against that and I know a very few that delivered at home with midwife's help. Sad, really when you think about it.

All the books sound great and I'll be checking them out.

  10. Congrats on the new contract! Fun stuff! I love working with midwives and have a ton of respect for them. It can be tricky, because in my conceptual framework the baby's likely to be born sick, but in theirs the kid'll be just fine. Lends itself to some interesting discussions, anyway.
