X is for Alissa Baxter #atozchallenge

See the x in the last name? Alissa Baxter’s novel, The Blog Affair  has been released under the Ubuntu line by Decadent Publishing. It is set in South Africa, in lovely Cape Town. I loved this novel. Check out my review here

BLURB:
Twenty-something, white, South African Emma Bradshaw has a pattern of falling for unsuitable men and starts a blog about these so-called “serial datists”. Her search for new beginnings takes her to Cape Town, where she gets a job working for sexy author, Nick Reynolds. Romance with her boss is a no-no, but slowly, Nick works his way around her defenses. Trust him, or not, especially with her awful track record with men?

When an anonymous male reader of the blog challenges her on her ideas about the male species, Emma realises she must confront her past and find her true self before she can move forward...and love can blossom again in her future.

  4. Hi there - This book sounds very cute. I'll have to add it to my ever-growing TBR. Thanks for the review. BTW, everyone had to get a bit creative with their X words. The book I reviewed (Hexes and X's) also had the X in the middle of the first word. Take care!

  5. LOL Using the X in the middle of her last name is sneaky, sneaky, but if you're going to stretch the rules a little bit, I think X is the letter to do it on LoL

    1. And it's a totally sweet book so it won't offend your YA sensibilities in the least, Crystal.

  8. I was a dating blogger not so long ago. Glad to be out of that scene! But I have a feeling I could probably relate to this one.

    1. I wonder how many times you would nod your head while reading the book, saying, "I know."

  9. Intriguing concept, her having to deal with her preconcieved notions about guys. Just because you run into a lot of jerks in the dating game, doesn't mean you should give up :) Sounds fun!
