X is for Xena:Warrior Princess

I know Xena has little or nothing to do with romance, but I warned you about the weirder letters of the alphabet.

I loved the show Xena: Warrior Princess. I enjoy reading and watching movies and shows that feature strong independent women. In my opinion you can’t get stronger than Xena. She was kick ass awesome.  She wasn’t like Hercules who was the son of a god and had superpowers. Xena was a human being fighting for the greater good. She had a skill for fighting and had been well trained in the art of combat. The woman was fantastic.

Of course the show wasn’t realistic but it was still great.  I can’t recall any romantic entanglements that Xena was involved in. I had always hoped for Hercules and her to get together, but they were always roaming the world in opposite directions. Or was it that Xena and her sidekick Gabrielle had a little thing?
Now I’m going to have to hunt down the series and watch it again.

Anybody else out there in TV land love watching Xena?

  3. Xena is pure woman power. I like medieval times, and anything with swords and junk...

  7. Xena was a great show, though I think it lost something at the end. I just wish there were more shows on TV with women characters like that. Covert Affairs is the current one, but there was a long time between that and other shows.

    1. I think it was because Xena got a little soft at the end. I blame it on girly Gabrielle's influence, even though Gabrielle got tougher. More strong females are needed in television. I have never heard of Covert Affairs. I'll have to check it out.
